How to Fix Brother Printer "Label Size Mismatch"

When using a Brother QL-series label printer, you might occasionally see an error message stating that the "label size does not match" or the "roll type is incorrect."
This usually happens when the paper size settings in Windows don't match the physical roll of labels inside your printer. To fix this, you’ll need to update your Printing Preferences so Mark Mate and your printer are on the same page.
How to Update Your Label Size (Windows)
Follow these steps to ensure your computer knows exactly which labels you are using:
Open Printer Settings Click the Start button on your taskbar and type "Printers" on your keyboard. Select Printers & Scanners from the search results.
Select Your Brother Printer Find your Brother QL-XXX printer in the list and click on it to expand the options.
Enter the Management Menu Click the Manage button to open the device settings.
Open Printing Preferences From the list of links, click on Printing Preferences. This will open a new window specifically for your Brother printer’s hardware settings.
Configure the Paper Size In the "Check Setting" or "Paper Size" dropdown menu, select the size that matches the labels currently loaded in your machine (e.g., 62mm x 29mm).
Tip: If you aren't sure of the size, it is usually printed on the side of the plastic label spool inside the printer.
Save Your Changes Click Apply and then OK.
