What is a class in MarkMate?
A class is a group of students you teach, for example "Year 9 English" or "4B Maths". Everything in MarkMate is kept inside a class: your students, your assessments, their marks and feedback, and their reports. You need to set up a class before you can start marking.
What you'll find inside a class
When you open a class, you'll see a row of tabs at the top:
Markbook: your list of assessments for this class. Start or continue marking from here.
Overview: a grid showing every student's grades for every assessment.
Students: the students in the class. Add, edit or remove them here.
Reports: write and manage reports for your students.
Settings: change the class name, year group or subject, or delete the class.
Good to know
You can have as many classes as you need.
You'll find all your classes by clicking Classes at the top of the screen.
If your school has connected MarkMate to its MIS (such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom), your classes may already be set up for you.
