How to use a grade set in an assessment

1 min read

When you set up an assessment, you choose how to mark each feedback heading. Choosing a grade set means MarkMate, and you, give that heading one of your levels.

Steps

  1. Create a new assessment, or edit an existing one (Markbook → ••• → Edit).

  2. Under Feedback headings, find the heading you want to grade.

  3. Click the grading button on the right of the heading. It says Feedback only to start with.

  4. Choose your grade set from the list. If you have lots, type in Find a grade set… to search.

  5. Click Create assessment or Save changes.

Good to know

  • You can use different grade sets for different headings in the same assessment.

  • Each new heading copies the grading from the heading above, so you only need to choose once.

  • Can't see your grade set in the list? Check it's saved under Settings → Grade sets. If a colleague made it, they need to share it first. See Why can't I see or edit a grade set?
