Mark Mate – A Sense Of Pride In My Books
Something we love hearing about is the way Mark Mate has had an impact on our users’ workload and work-life balance. This is the whole reason our platform was created and it’s amazing to hear from you all!
After our success in the Dragons’ Den last year, we have focused on listening to the feedback of our users because we want to improve and grow Mark Mate and have planned a huge update due to be released in September, along with our mobile application.
Today’s story comes from John Greetham. A Humanities lead, John uses Mark Mate to provide engaging feedback for his students because he wants to improve the response his students give to his marking.
If I wanted to do a really deep mark on a set of 30 History books it could take me 3 hours. Mark Mate now allows me to differentiate quickly and provide now tasks based on the childrens’ ability.
A New Sense Of Pride
Teachers love using Mark Mate because of the ability to leave detailed, personalised feedback quickly which gives them a new sense of pride in their group’s books. John also expressed that the standard of his students’ responses had increased because they felt like they were getting more of his attention.
Mark Mate gives me a sense of pride in my books because I can see after using it for an academic year the difference in our presentation.
Not only can Mark Mate help speed up the process of giving feedback but it also allows you to collect important assessment data every time you mark. Making the overall marking and assessment process more efficient. It all links together and the children find the stickers and feedback motivational.
You can watch John’s story in full below and we would love to hear from our users in the comments. What impact has Mark Mate had on your workload? Have you found any interesting ways to use it in your classroom? Any suggestions for new features?
